#Trending: Are Dallas’ Most Instagram-able Restaurants Worth the Hype?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

New resturants are opening right and left in the Dallas area and we are here to let you know which ones are worth the Uber ride.

Pok the Raw Bar 3699 McKinney Ave #306, Dallas, TX 75204

Started by two SMU students, Pok brought poke bowls to the West Village. With its unique cuisine and bright, hopping vibe, this place doesn’t have much competition nearby. This being said, it has definetly outgrown its location already, due to popularity. I would suggest going at an unusual eating hour or going when you’re not in a rush. Try to go with a friend and have one of you wait for/find a table while the other orders. Once you get your food, it will definitely be Snapchat worthy, and it tastes as good as it looks. In summary, Pok is a must try despite the time commitment, if not for the good food, at least for supporting SMU entrepreneurship.

Chills 360’s 2646 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75226

Located in Deep Ellum, this Thai Rolled Ice Cream is about as trendy as life gets. Open until 3 a.m., this place is constantly filled with customers. For $7, you can get your own rolled ice cream drizzled with sauce and covered in the toppings of your choice. Make sure to watch them make your order and feel free to film it from start to finish. The process is so unique to this type of ice cream making that you will be giddy with excitement when you see it begin to take form. Although pricey and very crowded 99 percent of the time, this place is worth trying at least once for the experience. To minimize the stress and cost of parking, we suggets Ubering there rather than driving your own car.

JOY Macarons 1927 Greenville, Dallas, TX 75206 and 839 W. Davis Street Dallas, TX 75208

This specialty bakery in Dallas is crafting delicious macarons and macaron ice cream sandwhiches. With friendly employees and a colorful decor, this place will add some happiness to any rainy day. Located across from great resturants like HG Sply Co., JOY is a perfect spot for desert or a great afternoon treat. Bonus: all the macarons are gluten free, and parking is relatively easy.
