Top 3 brunch spots to cure your hangover

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Waking up the morning after never feels good if you had too much to drink. The massive headache, nausea and massive bed head doesn’t make for a good morning. However, one thing that always cures a bad hangover is a great brunch. The following is a list of some of the best brunch spots in Dallas.

1. OddfellowsLocated in Oak Cliff, this rustic-hip gem is located in the Arts district. Next to eye-catching boutiques, hole-in-the-wall bookshops and art galleries, Oddfellows is always a good time. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, so depending how hungover you are, you can sit as needed. Oddfellows is known for their wonderful coffee (from espressos to cappuccinos), chicken & waffles and decadent desserts. And let’s not forget their cocktail list…can anyone say mimosa?

2. SangriaSangria Tapas and Bar is located in Uptown, Dallas. This urban mix of tapas and Mediterranean cuisine never disappoints. The Knox-Henderson hot spot features new specials from paella to spanakopita to calamari- and to top it all off, the house wine list always satisfies (a restaurant named Sangria must have great sangria). This lively restaurant will instantly improve your mood once you smell the food, mingle with people and enjoy the flamenco shows and live music.

3. Nickel and RyeRight on McKinney Avenue is Nickel and Rye. This delicious restaurant is often overshadowed at times by Uptown night life, but their brunch is definitely a standout. The relaxed yet upscale eatery satisfies all customers needs- especially the drinks. From a maple bacon Manhattan to a white watermelon sangria, Nickel and Rye will quench your thirst. Top off your favorite beverage with their signature cheese platter and you will ever forget your hangover blues.
