Just a little less than two weeks and finals will be over, which can only mean one thing, summer! To make the most out of Summer 2016 you should make a bucket list! Here are 6 things to add to yours:

1.     Try new food!

Whether you go check out the neighborhood Indian restaurant or you make a recipe from your new cookbook, it is important to always try new things! Check out Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook for some fun recipes.

2.     Read!

Speaking of books, try to read at least one book over the summer. Ditch the pop culture magazines on the beach and crack open a New York Time’s Bestseller. At this time in our lives, a business-esque book is fun to try, like Lean In!

3.     Be a Tourist for a day!

Growing up my school always took us on field trips to see things in Philly like Independence Hall and The Liberty Bell. Take a second look at the tourist stomping grounds in your hometown over the summer!

4.     Volunteer!

There’s no better feeling than the one you get when you’re helping others out. Volunteer at your local YMCA, soup kitchen, or animal shelter!

5.     Go to a baseball game!

Baseball games are so fun in the summer! Enjoy some hot dogs while getting a nice tan!

6.     Say yes!

Try to say yes as much as possible over the summer. Whether an old high school friend wants to get dinner or your internship asks you to work extra time at an event. You never know what experiences could come out of these so be willing to have an open mind this summer!

See you back on Hawk Hill in August!
