As the Christmas season nears, we are all searching for the perfect gift for family members, friends, boyfriends, and even to use in pollyannas. My ultimate favorite gift to receive is one that is personalized or monogrammed. It not only says that the gifter took time to pick out the item, but it also says that they went a step further and made it “you.” Monograms are personal touches of care and thought (plus who doesn’t want their initials on everything they own?) 1. Monogrammed Necklace: This is my go to gift in any situation. Everyone can use a gold or silver (or even acrylic) personalized necklace. I wear mine nearly every day. 2. Stationary: The act of writing thank you cards and letters to friends in the mail is a dying art form. 3. Anthropologie Goodies: Over Thanksgiving break, I spent over two hours in Anrtho by myself just walking around, admiring all of the holiday goodies and clothes. I began to get ideas for my own pollyanna gift this holiday season, and I will be sure to include these holiday treats in my gift package! Who could refuse an initial mug in black or gold, or even with a darling pattern in the color of your choice? To get really creative, wrap your gifts in boxes, and add an Ikat monogram letter to trim your package, along with a huge bow. 4. Picture Frame: A picture is worth a thousand words, especially a monogrammed one! Personalized Picture frames, with a photo of you and your gift receiver inside are always crowd pleasers. Make it your own by choosing your font and font color! Always a hit!
5. Sweater: Lastly, who doesn’t love a good cozy sweater? You can never have enough sweaters, and making it personalized is an even better touch. Choose any sweater at J.Crew and add a monogram for just $10 extra. I think the monograms look best on a cashmere sweater, or a button down cardigan. The waffle cashmere long sleeve is a must have!
