Graduation Gifts for your Girls

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Siena chapter.

With graduation right around the corner, now is the time you start to worry, what am I going to get my friends for graduation?  You start searching Pinterest and Etsy while in the middle of class, peek in your housemate’s room to see she’s in need of a new purse, and try to come up with a way to make money a “cute” gift.  Here are some ideas for inspiration on what to get your girls for graduation!

For your Roommates/Housemates

The girls you have been closest with for the last four years deserve the perfect gift to remember all of the fun times you’ve been through.  Give your housemates a personalized gift with these creative ideas.

Personalized Wine Glass

If you’re feeling artsy, grab some glasses and glass paint from the craft store, and decorate wine glasses for your housemates!  I made these for each of my housemate’s 21st birthdays.

Make a wine basket with their favorite bottle of wine and some cute coasters, and now you can cheers to the last four years!

Dress up and have a photo shoot with your roommate or housemates and surprise them with a graduation frame and beautiful photo!  This idea is perfect to pair with any other gifts you have planned.

For your Study Buddy

This is the girl who helped you prepare for every exam and presentation over the last four years.  You both laughed at the same professors, cried over the same tests, and questioned your decision to be an Accounting major more times than you may like to admit.  Here are some ideas to congratulate your study buddy on making it through such a tough curriculum – you couldn’t have done it without her!

Gift Card to her Favorite Restaurant/Store

All her hard work deserves a night out or shopping spree!  If she loves Starbucks, get her a gift card there so she can start off her new job with a cup of coffee every morning.  If your study breaks consisted of aimlessly browsing Amazon, a gift card there can help her get the Grey’s Anatomy boxed set she’s been longing for ever since midterms.

For your World Traveler

For your girl who went on dozens of service trips, study abroads, and visited countless countries, get a gift that will help her pursue her passion to travel!  Whether it’s a cute passport holder, stationary, or a new carry on, she will love how you thought about her interests and passions in choosing her graduation gift.
