When “It’s a Perfect Day” flows through your iPhone speakers, you know it’s time to get up and make that perfect day more than just a catchy lyric. Until you take a look in the mirror to find the monstrosity that plagues women all over the globe: bed head. No matter what your hair temperament may be, second-day hairstyles will be your saving grace along with lots of hairspray!

1. Crazy Curls

Picture this: Carrie Bradshaw. The tight and neat center-parted low ponytail will simultaneously tame your frizzy situation while letting your curls be large, wild, and free.

Step One: Grab the hairspray and don’t let it leave your sight.

Step Two: Part your hair in the center then spray generously with hairspray while combing through your hair.

Step Three: Pull your hair tight into a low ponytail, making sure there are no pumps or frizz.

Step Four: Secure your ponytail with your hair tie of choice and fluff up your curls.

Step Five: Admire your adept craftsmanship.

2. Wild Waves

Throwback to T. Swift’s first album when the only thing more awe-worthy than her songs was her hair! Bring on those wild waves!

Step One: Let your hair down and spray all over with hairspray.

Step Two: Grab your weapon out of its holster and blow-dry your hair to give it a little life, fluffing it up.

Step Three: Whip your hair back and forth but only one time and allow it to find its part and lean whichever way it pleases.

Step Four: Spray a little more hairspray to pump up the volume.

Step Five: Remember, the higher the hair the closer to heaven (throwback Jerseylicious reference!).

3. Sleek Straight

Even though Ariana Grande was killed off of “Scream Queens” (like who is this devil guy and why is he so crazy?), her half-up, half-down legacy of perfection will live on in the Kappa Kappa Tau Sorority House and on all college campuses.

Step One: Brush your hair back, making sure to collect all the fly aways, making it all smooth.

Step Two: Take up half of your hair into ponytail position and secure it with a hair tie.

Step Three: Comb through all of your hair, making sure everything is tidy and neat.

Step Four: A few spritzes of hairspray will do the job to make everything look shiny and sleek.

Step Five: Smile because the red devil isn’t after you!
