April and Erin Hovious

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SAU chapter.

Meet this week’s Campus Celebrities, Erin and April Hovious. These (extremely) single sophomore twins can be spotted around campus–often with each other–whether it be helping with Dance Marathon, playing an intramural basketball game in the gym or hanging with friends in Franklin.

Small town sisters from Seneca, Illinois–population 2,322–, April and Erin could make any girl want a twin.

Not only do these twins share their clothes with each other like many would assume, but they also share the same exact class schedule. You read that right. April and Erin are both majoring in elementary education with reading and English endorsements and have shared the same class schedule all year. As if this wasn’t enough, April and Erin are roommates as well, and will continue living together next school year. Seems like a lot of time with your family, right? Wrong.

“I guess she’s one of my favorite people,” Erin said about April. “I think she’s at least in my top three.”

“Most days I can put up with her,” April laughed. “I like her enough to have her in my last seven profile pictures on Facebook.”

In the future, both April and Erin hope to return back to Seneca to teach just like their role model–their mother. Erin is set on teaching kindergarten while April is still deciding between first and third grade. Either way, the two are undoubtedly going to spend plenty of time together.

Still want to know more about this dynamic duo?

If you won $1,000,000, what is the first thing you would buy? “A bunny, a kitten and a dog…in that order.” -Erin

Any fun facts about you two?

1. “We both played three sports in high school: volleyball, basketball and softball.” -Erin

2. “I’m older by one minute.” -April

3. “We’ve watched like every Disney movie. We live for Disney.” -April

4. “We don’t know if we’re identical or fraternal. We’d need a blood test.” -Erin

5. “Erin hit me in the head with a baseball bat…and a wrench when we were little.” -April
