What interested you about San Francisco State?
The city, mainly. San Francisco was always a city I saw myself living in and thought college was a good opportunity to experience it.
What are you a part of, on campus?
I am a writer for Her Campus at SFSU!
Any outside of school activities?
I frequently do yoga and run a few blogs.
How about hobbies?
I am big on writing, singing and finding new restaurants to eat at.
How is it writing for Her Campus?
It’s amazing. I am so glad I found such a loving community at SFSU that is always there for me. It’s honestly one of the best things I’ve decided to do.
How do you stay organized with all your classes and all of your events?
I’m a huge believer in keeping a planner and making lists. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have a place to store everything’s that’s going on. It’s vital to my success.
Who/What inspires you?
My family and friends. I know some incredibly inspiring people and they’re always pushing me to do my best. I’m the first one in my family to go to college so I always want to make sure I’m doing all of them proud and working my hardest every day.
Do you have any advice for our collegiettes who want to participate in campus activities such as clubs? Plan ahead. I get it, procrastinating is so easy but try not to. Get the important classes done early so you have time to join as many clubs as possible. Be active and never settle. If you want to be in a club that doesn’t exist create it. If you didn’t get into something you really wanted the first time keep trying. It’s all about persistence.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Living somewhere new, with a job and someone I love and a dog. But let’s be honest, the dog is the most important.
