Rowan Fashion Trend of the Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rowan chapter.

Welcome back all former and new Rowan students! While Melissa and I were walking around campus, the trendiest look we saw this week was the Kimono.

Wet Seal $28.90

This is a great transition look from summer to fall because they are light and comfortable!  They usually come in one size, but a ton of different patterns to choose from.  Floral print seems to be the most popular around campus, although my elephant print one seemed to get a lot of compliments this week!

Charlotte Russe $18

The good thing about this item of clothing is it’s not pricey, no matter what store you find it in.  Kimono’s are popular on the racks of PacSun, WetSeal and Charlotte Russe.  They range from around $25-$48, which is an unbelievable price for this classy look! It’s easy to dress it up by throwing a camisole under and a pencil skirt.  It tends to look better with form fitting bottoms since it is a lose top.

PacSun $29.95

There’s popular ways to dress it down and make it the perfect class outfit is easy too!  Leggings, jeans, or high wasted shorts paired with cute sandals are perfect for Rowan’s hot weather this week.  No matter what you wear your Kimono with, it looks flattering on anyone, and is a look that can be put together for any occasion.  Big interview this week? Baby shower? Want to look cute for history class? Get a Kimono now and rock it with this week’s fashion tips.  Look back at this section for next week’s Rowan fashion trend!

My names Melissa Heath, I'm a second semester soph. here at Rowan where I transferred from Coastal Carolina last year. I have always loved fashion and writing so Her Campus is an awesome way for me to combine those things in the Fashion section! I look forward to any feedback from fellow Rowan readers so feel free to let me know what you think or want to see in the following week's article.
My name is Sami Goldin! I am an elementary education/literacy studies major! I hope to be a kindergarten teacher and make an impact on my students' lives! :)
