This past Sunday, December 9th the ladies of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority hosted their
annual Bowl-4-Breath. The event raised money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a nonprofit donor-supported organization. Their
mission is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis
and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
For those of you who may not know what Cystic Fibrosis is, is it a life-threatening
genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 30,000
children and adults in the United States.
More than 10 million Americans are unknowing, symptomless carriers of a defective
CF gene.
The ladies of he Beta Upsilon chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon charged $5 for 1 game, $7
for 2 games. Shoes were included.
After a fun night of bowling with various members of different organizations at RIT,
DPhiE raised $850 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, doubling what they made at
last year’s event.
They would like to thank all the organizations that made it out to their event and
supported their cause. They give a special thanks to-Pi Kappa Phi, Alpha Xi Delta-
Delta Lambda Chapter, Sigma Alpha Mu-Delta Omega Chapter, RIT Eight Beat
Measure, Tau Kappa Epsilon-Xi Upsilon Chapter, Phi Kappa Psi-New York Theta
Chapter, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Kappa Tau-Gamma Nu Chapter, Sigma Chi-Lambda
Kappa Chapter, Sigma Nu-Mu Zeta Chapter and Sigma Sigma Sigma-Epsilon Psi
Chapter.
The sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon give a huge thanks to all participates and hope to see
them year after year.
