It seems as though Miley Cyrus has a new man to kiss under the mistletoe this year. Cyrus, 22, has been spotted out and about with Patrick Schwarzenegger, 21. While many Miley fans are still heartbroken about Cyrus’ breakup with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, star of the Hunger Games franchise, Schwarzenegger appears to be Cyrus’ first public boyfriend since the end of that three-year relationship. It has been rumored in the past that Cyrus has had short-term flings with Kellan Lutz, back in December 2013, and the producer of her album, Mike Will Made It.
But who, exactly, is Patrick Schwarzenegger? To start off, Schwarzenegger’s full name is Patrick Arnold Shriver Schwarzenegger. Not only is Patrick the son of the Austrian actor and former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, but his mother is Maria Shriver, an American journalist and member of the Kennedy family, which basically makes Patrick American royalty. Patrick’s maternal grandmother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver is the sister of President John F. Kennedy and the founder of the Special Olympics.
Schwarzenegger grew up in Los Angeles, California and is the third of four children. Patrick has two older sisters, Katherine and Christina, and a younger brother named Christopher. Patrick also has a paternal half-brother named Joseph Baena. The media revealed Baena’s paternity back in 2011 when it was announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child with one of his house employees in 1997.
As for Schwarzenegger’s education, he graduated from Brentwood High School in 2012 and is currently enrolled at the University of Southern California.
Apart from being a college student, Schwarzenegger is also an entrepreneur, actor, and model. When Patrick was 15 years old, he founded Project360, a philanthropic menswear clothing line, with the help of his parents. He is also the owner and cofounder of Blaze Pizza Restaurant in Los Angeles. Schwarzenegger is signed with LA Models and has modeled in eyewear campaigns for Tom Ford with model Gigi Hadid. Schwarzenegger starred in Ariana Grande’s music video for “Right There” in late 2013 and has also had small acting roles in Grown Ups 2 and Stuck in Love.
Schwarzenegger has had his eye on Miley for quite some time. In a December 2011 interview for Details magazine, Schwarzenegger stated Miley as his celebrity crush. At the time of the interview, Patrick was dating Tallulah Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, but stated that his “eye [was] set on Miley.” Schwarzenegger has supposedly recently split with his college girlfriend, Tootsie Burns.
After all of the attention Cyrus received from the media after her engagement with Hemsworth ended in 2013, it’s good to see Smiley Miley finally happy again. Hopefully these two can make it through the holiday season together!
