There’s no doubt that Nutella the chocolate labrador is the most photographed dog on campus. She is the canine resident of Pet House, one of the themed houses students at Occidental. Nutella- usually referred to as Tella – has only spent a little more than a year at Oxy, but she’s already captured many hearts in the student body.
How do you feel about being chosen for this week’s Campus Celebrity? Happy! Do I get a cookie for doing this interview?
What are some of your hobbies/favorite things to do? I love to meet new people, go on walks through the campus, drool on my housemates’ homework, sleep most of the day, and lay in the sun. And eating. I’m crazy about cookies!
What’s your favorite memory from this past semester? The first week of classes when everyone had tons of time to play with me and take me on walks! At the beginning of the semester, I went to Huntington Dog Beach and played catch in the waves. Also, my Pet Housemates and I dressed up as Beanie Babies for Halloween! (I was the cutest of all of them, if I do say so myself.)
What is your favorite thing about Oxy? There are so many places to sniff and new people to meet.
Any cool tricks you learned recently? I learned how to curtsy, spin, and “die” when my housemates “shoot” me. Everyone goes nuts for that one.
