Quick fixes to look and feel your best in the morning!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

The phrase test well dress well can be very true! If you are too busy thinking about your appearance or just need a confidence boost before that big test, looking your best can do a lot. Plus, who doesn’t want to leave for the day feeling great? However, there is often a very limited amount of time to get ready in the morning and that snooze button seems to get hit more and more as the week goes on. A few simple tips will allow you to feel your best no matter how small the time crunch!

  1.  Apply a BB cream or moisturizer, this helps to brighten up your face and a bb cream will provide light coverage and some even come with an SPF!

Product Reccomendations: Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion ($11 Target)

2. If you have a little time, apply a little mascara and a light shimmery shadow to help brighten your eyes up and look awake ! I always make sure to add a little  primer on my lid before applying the eye shadow, to keep it fresh throughout the day. Optional: add a touch of pencil eyeliner to your lash line to make eyes appear bigger !

Product Reccomendations: Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance ( $20 Ulta ) Sin eyeshadow by Urban Decay ( $20 Urban Decay ) Buck eyeshadow by Urban Decay ( $20 Urban Decay)

3.If you have time apply a little blush to help bright up your face or a little bronzer to bring a sun kissed glow to your face ! Even on your most tired days you will look awake !

Product Reccomendations:NYX Matte bronzer (light) ( $8.99 Ulta)MAC Powder Blush (blushbaby) ( $22 MAC )

4. If your hair is in need of a wash but you don’t have time, spray some dry shampoo in and pull it back into a messy bun. If you don’t have dry shampoo, hair spray can help or just pull on a hat (no one will ever know) or a cute headband.

Product Reccomendation: Not Your Mothers Dry Shampoo ($5.99 Target)

 5. Picking out what to wear can sometimes be the hardest part of the morning. Throw on a long sleeve t-shirt and add a scarf. The scarf helps make the t-shirt look a little more complete (embrace your inner Lauren Conrad). This look also goes great with your hair tied up !

On your way out the door spritz a little of your favorite perfume/spray or put a little lip gloss on!

These simple tricks will help you start your day feeling confident!
