Polished Fashion by College Gals, for College Gals: Emma Graham Designs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

Last year I came across an adorable company that had everything I look for in clothes: colorful and classic with a flirty twist.  I was even more enticed when I found out that the girls who started the line had recently graduated college! Emma and Jackie grew up in Boston and have been best friends since childhood.  While Emma was at the University of South Carolina and Jackie was at Babson College, they always talked about how they could not find stylish yet reasonably priced clothing for college girls.  So, after graduating, the girls went to NYC to make their dream a reality.  The first full collection (Spring/Summer 2011) is being sold at select stores (unfortunately none in Ohio) but it is also available online.  Her Campus also got the inside scoop from the designers themselves: currently, they are working on an OSU collection.  Although at Ohio State we do not dress up for football games, OSU collegiettes™ will find that Emma Graham Designs clothing is great for sorority date parties, weddings, or nights out.  Some of my favorites from the collection are the Aimee (I love the sweetheart neckline and floral bottom).  I also love the skirts, Dayna and Ashley, because they could easily be dressed up or down.  Probably my favorite Emma Graham Designs piece is this super cute hat!  This hat would have been perfect for the Carolina Cup or Kentucky Derby or even for Easter.  Emma and Jackie are a great inspiration for all aspiring college fashion designers.  To learn more about their designs, check out their website, http://emmagrahamdesigns.com or look at their blog, http://emmagrahamdesigns.com/new-blog.
