Hand Cream Review: Being by Sanctuary

I know the struggle of that Ohio winter. Not only is it cold constantly, but you have to deal with dry air seeping all the moisture out of your soft skin. There are a lot of products out there claiming to be the best at restoring the fullness to your skin. These hand creams either don’t work or leave your hands feeling greasy and burdened by lotion that is just too thick. Luckily, Her Campus OSU received hand cream from Being by Sanctuary in our #HCSurvivalKits and I tried it out this week!

I don’t know about you but my biggest thing when it comes to judging hand creams is whether they leave my hands thick and greasy for hours after. After the first use of the Cloudberry and Lychee Blossom scented hand cream I instantly noticed the way it soaked into my hands keeping them from that annoying residue that other lotions leave behind. I suggest using a dime size amount of lotion to insure the it soaks into the skin instead of resting on top of the skin.

More importantly, this hand cream uses shea butter and almond oil to hydrate the skin relieving its dry irritation. Shea butter contains Vitamin A which holds the same moisturizing properties as the glands in your skin. Being by Sanctuary included natural moisturizers in their hand cream to leave your skin with a softness that lasts long after its application. When I applied this lotion to my hands they felt instantly softer and that softness lasted through the following day. Even after being out in the cold, my hands retained the softness supplied by the hand cream.

Beyond its moisturizing ability, the hand cream by Being comes in several different scents. I used the cloudberry and lychee blossom scent and the smell certainly matched the description. Immediately after application I could smell the sweet berry scent coming from the lotion as it hydrated my skin. However, the scent is not too strong as to make you feel like you’ve walked into a Bath and Body Works. If you’re looking for the right smell for you the hand cream comes in caramel macadamia, hibiscus and coconut water, water lotus and pomelo, chilli mango and tonka bean, and of course the cloudberry and lychee blossom.

I hope you have a new interest in Being by Sanctuary products like I do. This hand cream has been a great addition to my skin care routine and made a huge impact on my previously dry and irritated hands. You can find their products at Ulta or a separate brand site.
