Summer is right around the corner and I’m so exited! As collegiettes, summer is the time explore, make memories and embark on crazy adventures. It’s the time to go overseas, visit different countries, meet new people and try delecious food. Traveling is amazing, but you must always be prepared. There are things that you just won’t think to bring with you, that’s why you have us, Her Campus at Old Westbury.

1. Simply Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths

This is so important! You need to always carry wipes with you as you travel. You don’t know whether you’ll find paper toilet or what the toilets look like. I know you must think that every toilet is the same in every country, but you’re wrong. In China, their toilet is legit on floor. I’m not kidding, you have to squat. After walking around all day, or being in a plane for hours you wipes that will work with your body to help maintain a natural pH. Plus, it will wipe away any odor-causing bacteria anytime/anywhere.It’s a purse must-have.

2. Simply Summer’s Eve Gentle Foaming Wash

If you’re dorming abraod or staying in a hostel for younng adults, chances are there won’t be soap waiting for you. Bring your own! This new foam wash rinses away odor-causing bacteria and helps maintain your PH balance. Yes please!

3. Secret Invisible Solid Cool Waterlily

Why? Well you need deodorant girl. Duh! Can you imagine going hours on a plane than walking around the airport on a hot summer without deodorant? Bless your heart. This deodorant last 48 hours and comes in 11 different fragrances. Fabulous! Get this at home, you never know what you’ll find wherever your going. I also tend to reapply deodorant on the plan.

4. A Book

If you’re spending eight hours on a plane, or just want to relax by a nice beach, you need a juicy book. Read White Fur by Jardine Libaire!

It’s a star-crossed love story taking place in 1980 in New York City. Need I same more collegiettes? Here’s a teaser, “Elise Perez meets Jamey Hyde on a desolate winter afternoon, fate implodes, and neither of their lives will ever be the same. Although they are next-door neighbors in New Haven, they come from different worlds. Elise grew up in a housing project without a father and didn’t graduate from high school; Jamey is a junior at Yale, heir to a private investment bank fortune and beholden to high family expectations. Nevertheless, the attraction is instant, and what starts out as sexual obsession turns into something greater, stranger, and impossible to ignore.”

I want to read that book!

5. Steripod Toothbrush Protector

You shouldn’t just let your toothbrush out in you suitcase without protection. Use a toothbrush protector. Steripod uses thymol, which is found in many mouthwashes  to release active vapors, which creates a safe environment to store your toothbrush.

6. Eyebrow Designer

I don’t care whether you like makeup or not, you need to fill in your eyebrows to look alive. Fix your brows! Please. The essence Eyebrow Designer is cruelty free. What do you have to lose?

Have an amazing summer collegiettes. Make sure to tag us @hcoldwestbury on any social media if you use any of these products.
