A Week in the Life of a College Student
For those of you that are not in college here is a low down on what a week looks like for a college student. I am a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, and I always seem to find myself doing something, which means I have no time to just sit at home.
I start my week on Sunday night, getting my planner ready for the following week. This semester I am taking 14 hours, which is about 5 classes. I go to class every morning at 9:30am and end at 4:20. Everyday after class I enjoy going to the gym. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s I go to kickboxing which is a good workout and at the same time I get to get out my anger out. I spend the majority of my time doing homework and studying for exams. Some people think that college students don’t ever do anything and that they sit around all the time but that could not be farther from the truth. Being a sophomore, I am starting to get into some harder classes that are required for my major, which is nursing. This semester I am in chemistry. I have to devote about eight hours a week for this class between all the studying, homework, and labs. Other than chemistry I am also in statistics, psychology, and sociology. So my weeks are pretty packed with school work and studying. During the fall it is football season which gives me something fun to do on the weekends. I go to every home game and occasionally I will go to an away game. At the game I always get to campus a couple hours early that way I can meet up with my friends at the tailgates. The last thing we do is find random late night adventures, whether it be going to Walmart in the middle of the night to going to get food at one o’clock in the morning, sometimes we will even find a concert in the middle of the week to go to. Then finally, we come back full circle to Sunday, and it starts all over again.
So, a week in the life of a college student isn’t the easiest, but all in all it is so much fun and it is all worth the hard work in the end.
