7 Things To Do With Your Best Friend Before Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OK State chapter.

Halloween can be a really fun time of year, but it can be even better if you celebrate it with your best friend!

Here are a few suggestions for what you and your bestie can do leading up to Halloween!

1. Have a scary movie marathon

Break out some of the older horror movies like Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. Next venture on to some newer films such as The Conjuring, Annabelle, and Mama. For those who love horror movies don’t be afraid to tag on the sequels to some of these as well to add on to the experience.

2. Binge watch your favorite childhood Halloween movies

Reminisce your rebellious movie-watching phase by breaking out some popcorn and watching Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

3. Have fun with pumpkins

For those who don’t mind the process of carving a pumpkin, doing this with your best friend could be a really fun activity. If you’re not fond of gutting the pumpkin don’t worry, because you can have just as much fun painting the pumpkin. You don’t have to settle with just using paint either; glitter and other add-ons are highly recommended for an adorable pumpkin!

4. Bake some spook-tacular treats

Put on some Halloween music to get you in the spirit and have fun baking goofy sweets with your bestie! Not only will you have a blast, but also you’ll get to enjoy some really good treats when you’re done.

5. Go shopping for a Halloween costume

Go to a Halloween store and try on countless outfits until you are sure you’ve found the perfect one. It’s guaranteed to be a shopping trip full of some of the most goofy outfits, and lots of laughter.

6. Go to a costume party

You’ve searched high and low for the perfect outfits, now you and your bestie need to go somewhere to show them off. A costume party is the perfect place for this, and you’ll get to spend the night dancing and having a great time with your best friend!

7. Go to a haunted house

Maybe you love haunted houses or maybe you can’t stand them, but attending one with your best friend would be a perfect way to wrap up your Halloween experience! You will look back at the end and laugh at how loud you screamed when someone jumped out in front of you out of nowhere, and how your friend nearly kicked the clown that grabbed her ankle. It may be scary, but at least you can laugh about it when it’s over.

Make Halloween extra great this year with your best friend! Remember to have fun and stay safe. Happy Halloween!
