It’s that time of year again:! One Direction’s new album release is right around the corner! Pre-teen girls are squealing in their 1D merchandise just at the thought of new tracks to jump and dance around to, and maybe I am too… But how could you not be excited!? It’s their fifth studio album, and more importantly, the first without Zayn (still getting over the emotions). So without further ado, I present you eight reasons why you should be excited for 1D’s new album!
1. May I repeat that this is the FIRST ALBUM WITHOUT ZAYN! Between the twitter feuds and Zayn’s new solo career, will his absence be missed or even noticed on this album?
2. Well… the new singles are amazing, so if the other tracks follows in that lead, this is going to be one heck of an album! Drag Me Down already racked up 3.11 million listens on Spotify!
3. We can expect a new sound on this album! Harry admitted that the sound of the album had a “slightly new identity” and Liam calling it “more chilled.”
4. New music means new music videos! Now we have even more excuses to binge watch One Direction videos!
5. This year is different for 1D fans because nobody really knows what’s coming next? Is this the last album for our beloved boy band? How will we go on without them!? Questions, questions, questions…
6. November is the most competitive month for music releases, so it’s time to emerge from our fandom hibernation and fight for this album’s success!
7. Is it really a full album if at least one song doesn’t throw some shade? It’s already rumored that the new single ‘Infinity’ is a tribute to Zayn, so it wouldn’t be surprising if we found some more Malik-themed tracks.
8. This has been the most drama filled year for the 1D boys to date! From Zayn’s departure to Louis’ expected child, could any of this appear on the album or affect the group’s pending future?
