As the temperature drops and the infinity scarves start to come out, we all need a little extra motivation on the walk to an 8 AM lecture or a late night Bobst run to finish that midterm or final paper. Take a day or two off from your daily non-fat latte and warm yourself up some of these rich, seasonal drinks from super close locations.
1. Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Address: 189 Bleecker Street
Why wait in the ridiculous line for a PSL when you can enjoy the same aroma and blend with this treat? The size small there is slightly bigger than a your typical grande latte, making it a steal to get this at $3.50. I highly suggest this flavorful, true taste of autumn.
2. Hot Cider from Caffe Reggio
Address: 119 Macdougal Street
Don’t assume that warm cider is only acceptable during Thanksgiving or the holiday season. This sweet yet tangy delight is found in a cozy café that is minutes from Bobst. You’ll certainly be able to read those assigned pages of your book in no time while sipping on this.
3. Peppermint Tea from The Bean
Address: 824 Broadway or 147 First Avenue
You can’t truly experience a New York winter without including the distinct taste of peppermint in it. I would definitely recommend checking out the variety of teas offered by The Bean on your way to class, especially coming from the direction of Founders, Uhall, or Palladium.
4. Mint Hot Chocolate from Dunkin Donuts
Address: 110 E 14th Street
I must say, Dunkin does an excellent job of revamping the classic hot chocolate with a special spritz of mint. For all of you chocolate lovers, enjoy this on those really chilly mornings instead of your normal cappuccino to satisfy your sweet tooth. Plus, dining dollars and campus cash are accepted!
5. Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks (@ The Square)
Address: 45 West 4th Street
Finally, if you can’t muster up the courage to try a new café then feel free to try the new frap from your daily Starbucks stop. This treat is only available for a limited time so get it fast! Enjoy ☺
