Mad For Fashion: NYU Sytleta’s Spring 2012 Fashion Show

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

What could be better than an afternoon filled with Mad Men, fashion, and charity?

NYU’s very own chapter of Styleta is hosting a Man Men themed fashion show to raise fund for The Council of Fashion Designers of America’s charitable initiative for Breast Cancer Research.
Styleta is a nonprofit organization that uses fashion to nurture the next generation of young social entrepreneurs by creating sponsored student organizations on campuses nationwide that allow students to take on leadership positions and gain hands-on experience in the world of business while bettering their community.  Styleta raises both monetary and fashion donations for nonprofit organizations to provide stylish clothing alternatives to disadvantaged citizens.

The fun-filled event includes a mini fashion show, vendor booths, open bar, raffles, silent auction, designer rack sale, and $1 flea market steals!  What more could you ask for?

Purchase $1 raffle tickets for your chance at winning amazing prizes such as Aerial TANK headphones, Panasonic Compact Stereo System, Jacmel Jewelry, and restaurant gift certificates.

The silent auction will feature such items as a Hermes leather bracelet retailed at $400!

After the mini fashion show, there will be a rack sale to directly purchase designer clothing – and for a fraction of the original price!  And the flea market booth will feature extra discounts.

And make sure to dress to impress; because the best dressed Mad Man or Woman will win a special prize!

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 or online here.
