Where To Celebrate Pancake Day In Nottingham

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Pancake Day is an unmissable occasion for students everywhere, whilst it also conventionally coincides with Galentine’s Day this year (February 13th; the day before that holiday we singles do not mention). Therefore it’s the perfect time to get a bunch of your best friends together to enjoy a stack of syrupy goodness at any of these locations:

The Pudding Pantry (27/29 Trinity Square, Nottingham, NG1 4AF)

Any Instagrammer’s favourite spot for dessert, this popular well-lit café serves up pancakes all day long! Whilst there’ll be some specials available on the day, their regular menu features fluffy pancakes topped with delights such as banana and chocolate, blueberry compote and whipped cream, and also salted caramel with vanilla ice cream.

Bill’s (15 Queen St, Nottingham NG1 2BL)

Aiming to entice the more sophisticated diner, Bill’s have two cocktail inspired specials this year. The Bramble Mojito includes blackberry and mint cream with rum and lime syrup, whilst The Amaretto Sour stars Italian meringue, amaretto cream and lemon syrup, finished with toasted almond flakes.

Jo’s Pancake House (149 Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, NG7 3HE)

This cheap and cheerful Lenton location is a student staple where everything is freshly prepared to order. Here you can choose between either savoury or sweet crepes, whilst their American pancakes come with a range of toppings that also include gluten free options.

Annie’s Burger Shack (5 Broadway, Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1PR)

Whilst they’re best known for their huge burgers, Annie’s breakfast is equally oversized (if not more so!). As with everything on their dinner menu, all dishes are available as meaty, veggie or vegan, with the Chunky Monkey pancakes being an easy sell for students with their lashings of sugary chocolate sauce, cream and bananas.

Creams (12 Trinity Square, Nottingham, NG1 4AF)

Each of Creams’ crepes are filled with an indulgent combination of flavours, made only the more enticing by names such as White Chocolate Wonder, Crepe Au Tella, and Peach Perfect. There’s also the option to create your own, letting you roam free with their abundant choice of sweet offerings.

The Lacehouse (Broadway, Nottingham, NG1 1PS)

For one day only, they’re offering up unlimited pancakes for just £9.95 per person. You have one hour to enjoy as many as you can handle, with up to three toppings per person including nutella, jam, and salted caramel ice cream.
