4 STARS

Students going out to eat is a rarity. So, when the opportunity for this treat arises there is great anticipation. But along with this anticipation comes a slight dread. The dread of the question ‘So what do you fancy eating?’ Over the semester the cravings have ranged from spicy curries to the crispness of roast potatoes, but now that the chance to satisfy those cravings has arrived, we are overwhelmed. All we know is that this occasion cannot be wasted.

So how do you ensure this occasion is not wasted? The answer is COSMO. Positioned in the centre of town, next to Intu Victoria Centre, this is the ideal location for a mid-afternoon treat with lunch from £8.99 or an evening feast with dinner from £14.99, pretty reasonable for unlimited starter, main and dessert.

COSMO is an authentic world kitchen, so there is an array of cuisines to indulge in, meaning you are not limited to selecting one craving to fulfil, satisfaction is, therefore, guaranteed. There exists that fear with buffet and self-serve style restaurants of only old dried up food being on offer. But with dishes being carefully and frequently prepared in small batches, freshness is ensured. So do not fear, simply collect a plate and fill it with food. Do this as many times as you desire, with as many types of food as you wish. You could start sensibly with a refreshing salad, or maybe start as you mean to go on and grab a heaping plate of nachos, piling it high with toppings of your choice.  Or just throw caution to the wind and start with a caramel apple crumble. You could follow this with the flavour infusion of chicken tikka masala or the home comfort of roast turkey, Yorkshire pudding and those deluxe crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside roast potatoes. Maybe you can’t choose, but that is the beauty of COSMO, you don’t have to. It is the indecisive individual’s dream.

If you are not a fan of buffets, if you want your set civilised portion and if quaint romantic ambiance is more your scene, COSMO is not for you. But if you want nothing more than to fill yourself with as much food as is humanly possible, then COSMO is the place to be.

One plate, over one hundred and fifty dishes to indulge in; ready, set, go!
