Remember the phrase “stars – they’re just like us?” Well, in reality, the majority of times they aren’t like us; however, they are perfectly human when it comes to one thing: twitter feuding. When there are feuds between celebs, it seems like Twitter is the platform of choice, given that celebs can state an opinion, share a picture, or unfollow people they are angry with to make a statement. This past year, feuds have ranged from VMA nominations, to snide remarks in interviews, and even about exes; the stars are never afraid to bring the claws out on a public forum. Here are some of the top Twitter feuds this past year to make you feel better about just being a normal, regular person.

#5: CHRISSY TEIGEN vs. HER HATERS

Who could hate Chrissy Teigen? Think again. When Chrissy debuted her baby bump in a cute, tight, black dress, she received a wave of backlash, saying that she was faking the pregnancy, she wasn’t eating the right foods, her bump was too big, etc. Chrissy ignored her haters (for the most part) and replied in a facetious way, saying “No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV and hay things.” She also shut down rumors by saying “I did IVF. One at a time. It isn’t twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus!” Team Chrissy forever!

#4: ZAYN MALIK vs. CALVIN HARRIS

This nasty feud all began after Zayn Malik retweeted a tweet dissing Taylor about her view of taking her music off of Spotify vs. the philopsophy of Miley Cyrus. Calvin Harris was quick to his girlfriend’s side when he tweeted a **strongly** worded tweet back at Zayn, bashing him for his comments. They went on to bicker awhile about the issue, then about Calvin Harris’ age, and if Zayn writes his own music. Overall, pretty unnecessary if you ask me.

#3: TAYLOR SWIFT vs. NICKI MINAJ

Who could ever forget this feud, causing countless fans from both sides to weigh in on the controversy? After Taylor’s “Bad Blood” was nominated for VMA of the year, but Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself” was not, Nicki took to Twitter to tweet “if your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year :) :) :) :) :) :) :).” Taylor took this as a snub towards her, to which she commented back confused as to why Minaj was dissing her, given that she had done nothing but support her. The two continued to tweet at each other, both trying to act innocent and confused. Even Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran got involved. But, at the end of the day, the two made up, and even preformed together at the VMAs.

#2: KANYE vs. WIZ KHALIFA & AMBER ROSE

This most recent Twitter battle has been just a brief showing of Kanye’s ridiculous behavior, but in this Twitter battle, things just got… weird. And went a little too far to say the least. This feud began when Wiz criticized Kanye for changing his album title. West escalated the fight by dragging his ex, and the mother of Wiz’s son, Amber Rose, into the mix. West tweeted “You wouldn’t have a child if it wasn’t for me.” Amber Rose was quick to jump in as she accused Kanye of having certain sexual preferences, to which Kayne defended himself. Wiz and West have made up since the fight however given Rose’s history of beef with the Kardashians, the two are still on bad terms.

#1: DRAKE vs. MEEK MILL

This was the feud of all feuds, and the one that felt like it never ended. It all began when Meek Mill tweeted “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!” He then went on to say that Drake has a ghostwriter. Many other rappers got involved in the feud, like Rick Ross and Lupe Fiasco, either supporting or defending Drake. There were also rappers backing up Meek, and supporting his allegations of Drake having a ghostwriter. Meek then sort of apologized to Drake by giving him a “shout out” at his girlfriend, Nicki Minaj’s, concert. Drake remained silent on Twitter, but came back in an even stronger way by releasing the songs “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” both containing lyrics that slam Meek Mill. Although this feud was dragged on a bit too long, it still produced two great songs all thanks to Meek’s initial tweet.

So there you have it — when it comes to celebrity Twitter feuds, there are usually zero rules!
