Along with the arrival of warmer weather, spring brings a new season of fashion. Here are a few new trends as seen on the various runways at the many fashion weeks:

1. The first noticeable trend was a return to the 1970s with numerous examples of suede and fringe in everything, from shoes to dresses.

2. Another new style was the open shoulder, also known as the x-factor, to show a little bit more skin.

3. Finally, athleisure, the use of athletic clothing as casual wear, became more prominent to the joy of comfort-seekers everywhere.

In addition to different fashion trends, Pantone has released their ten colors of the year:

  1. Buttercup

  2. Fiesta

  1. Green Flash

  1. Iced Coffee

  2. Lilac Grey

  3. Limpet Shell

  4. Peach Echo

  5. Rose Quartz

  6. Serenity

(Serenity and Rose Quartz have mixed to create their own trend)

  1. Snorkel Blue

We all know that clothes are not the only part of fashion. Here are some of the new makeup trends for spring:

There are two different ways to make your eyes pop this spring season. First up is known as the Sunset Streak, or using varying colors of pink, orange, and yellow to create the perfect sunset above your eyes.

Second is known as Blue State, a blue eyeshadow to make your eyes pop.

A classic statement piece, red lips, are still in style for the next season.

Moving away from complicated braids, versatile ponytails are becoming more and more popular.

And so ends this summary of this year’s spring fashion. Feel free to experiment and create your own personal style!
