On November 26th 2012, America’s Next Top Model host and legendary smizer, Tyra Banks posted a tweet that has changed the world forever: “I’m producing and starring in Life-Size 2! Shine Bright, Shine Far… Again.”
That’s right- after almost thirteen years of waiting, we are finally getting the much needed sequel to the classic made for television film. Now maybe I’m being a little over dramatic, and perhaps “Life Size” doesn’t need a sequel. In fact, out of all the made for TV movies, I’m convinced that it doesn’t (I’m still waiting on a Model Behavior sequel.) But it will be a nice change of pace to watch Tyra play a character rather than witness her having a hysterical breakdown on ANTM and screaming at contestants about how she was “rooting for them” (Tiffany, anyone?). Perhaps there will even be a dubstep remix of “Be A Star” included in the sequel!
Unfortunately, Lindsay will most likely not be returning for the sequel. But don’t fret-she will be starring in Scary Movie 5, scheduled to be released this spring, which is certainly enough to satisfy our need to watch La Lohan further destroy any chances of her ever being taken seriously as an actress again. And with all of this talk about America’s economic struggles it will be nice to take a break from it all and book a trip to our favorite town: Sunnyvale.
Maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll even get to see Tyra stuff her face with bread and butter again, because let’s face it, that’s what dreams are made of. So while you’re waiting for the rebirth of American cinema, be sure to relive your childhood memories and watch the classic film- the whole thing is on YouTube!
