Four Places to Visit this Spring Outside of Boston

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

As the end of the semester is quickly approaching, try visiting some fun places outside of Boston before you leave for home in the summer. Here’s a list of my four favorite places to go outside of the city.

1. Canobie Lake Park

As the weather gets nicer, what better way to spend your time than at an amusement park. Canobie lake park is a relatively small amusement park and if you go on an off day there is plenty of time to make it around to every ride. I highly suggest the Yankee Cannonball ride; you’ll see it right when you walk in.

2. Six Flags

Once you’ve conquered the smaller amusement park, it’s time for Six Flags. Out in Western Mass., you’re sure to have a great time with all of your friends on all of the thrilling roller coasters (just be wary of the long lines).

3. Cape Cod

For a more relaxed day, get a group together for a beach day down the Cape. For people not from the area, Cape Cod is made up of over 10 towns, and there’s a vibe for everyone. Some of my favorite places to visit include Chatham and Provincetown.

4. Blue Hills Reservation

Right outside of Boston, Blue Hills is a great way to get in some outside exercise as the weather gets warmer. Go for a hike and see some great views of Boston.
