Clubs: So Many to Choose From, but Which is for You?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

September hits Northeastern like no other month.

The entire campus dynamic changes: Freshmen move into Speare and Stetson East, and last year’s juniors talk regrettably about their “final year” as undergrads while waiting in line at Connor’s. The dining hall turns into a madhouse, and the wiffle ball court outside Stetson West is occupied 24/7.

Between moving into your new dorm room or apartment and reconnecting with friends or meeting new ones, you may have missed an important opportunity to get involved with a student group on campus. Or maybe you joined one, only to realize it wasn’t what you expected.

The good news is, it’s still early enough to find a new group you can connect with. As Her Campus Northeastern staff writer Christiana Jacobson emphasized in a previous article, finding the right student group can help you make friends, build your resume and get involved on campus.

To help you figure out what organization may be right for you (or to allow you to explore some new options!) we’ve included a round-up of some of the most notable student groups on campus. Read, enjoy, and perhaps, join!
