My Roanoke Nightmare Review

American Horror story has blessed us with 6 amazing seasons. Seasons 1-3 are my favorites. Season 3, Coven, I’ve personally watched at least 5 times now. It took a lot for me to get into season 4, Freak show, and season 5, Hotel. However, this previous season, my Roanoke Nightmare, has blown me away. From the first couple of episodes I would have never guessed that the season would have ended the way it did.

This idea of the lost colony’s spirits living on the land and killing anyone who comes within their domain is crazy! My favorite characters were the fake Audrey Tindall and the “actress” who played Audrey, Shelby Miler. Sarah Paulson who played them both, always plays a character to remember in each AHS season. One turn I was not expecting was the story line of Lee Harris developing the way it did. For her first time appearing on this show she was one of the most important characters. It was interesting to watch the season essentially unfold and all wrap around her storyline. Additionally, speaking about new cast memembers, Cuba Gooding Jr. did an okay job for me on the show. I think who he turned out to be the second time they went to the house was annoying. I know it’s all acting, but his addition to the show didn’t give me AHS vibes.

All in all, this show will never stop being one of my favorites. Each season pulling you into a totally new world is the best part. Hopefully, season 7 will keep the greatness alive.

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
