Planning Your Next Vacay!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mt Holyoke chapter.

1.  Know everyone’s budget.

Taco Bell, anyone?

Knowing how much each person can spend will help with, like, EVERYTHING.   Y’all don’t wanna come back to MoHo unable to pay for textbooks.

2.  Sign up for airfare alerts and fly with airlines that have rewards systems.

Flight prices vary based on supply and demand. If there are 200 seats and 1,000 people want to spend Christmas in New York, the average round-trip ticket probably costs a quarter of MoHo’s yearly tuition.  Be smart and sign up for airfare alerts.  Airfare Watchdog (http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/fare-alerts/) and Kayak (http://www.kayak.com/) are quite popular and reliable.

3. Book attraction tickets through hotels.

If you’re going somewhere family-oriented like an amusement park or history museum, purchase a ticket package instead of individual day passes.

4.  Meet up with a local!

Bey and Jay now live in SoHo with Blue.. Of course we know Bey’s originally from Houston.

A fresh perspective adds to the allure of any travel experience.  Don’t be the basic bitch at Nobu ordering a chicken teriyaki deluxe for two.

5. Be ready to make sacrifices.

11.5pt;font-family:Arial”> The rules of economics, y’all- everything has an opportunity cost.  Something’s gotta give!
