HCM: Why did you choose to come to Montclair State?
ZF: “I thought the campus was really pretty when I first visited. Also, I knew that there was a great teachers education program here, that is what really drew me into the school.”
HCM: So you are an aspiring teacher?
ZF: “Yeah. I have always loved kids and I have been babysitting since I was a junior in high school. Working with kids has always come so natural to me so deciding to become a teacher was easy for me. I am getting certified to teach kids P-3 and I am also getting certified to teach children with disabilities.”
HCM: That seems like a great career path! Is there a special someone in your life right now that will also possibly be in your future?
ZF: “That’s funny you asked that because today is my boyfriend and I’s five year anniversary!”
HCM: Five years?! Wow, good for you guys. How did he first catch your attention?
ZF: “The first time I talked to him was on Halloween and he was dressed up like a girl. I thought he was really funny, that’s what really drew me to him.”
HCM: What do you think is important for girls to look for in a guy?
ZF: “I think having humor in a relationship is important. But aside from that I think that the two of them should enjoy spending time together and nothing should be forced. Also, the guy needs to have manners. The guy having nice eyes is always a plus too.
HCM: What is the best date your boyfriend has taken you on?
ZF: “Nothing too extravagant. I really just like going to a nice restaurant and having a really good meal and spending quality time with my man. Whenever we do that I always have a great time.
