Shacking: As Told by Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mizzou chapter.

We’ve all been there, returning home in last night’s dress with the lingering scent of cheap alcohol and shame.  The night always starts off with good intentions, but those good intentions can get a little blurry when you’re three drinks in.

It started out as an innocent girls night out.

But then the smooth talking boy ruins everything by offering you a Long Island, which you accept without hesitation, because free alcohol.

And his smooth talking and generosity with Long Islands inevitably lead you to his apartment.

But then morning comes, and he’s not as the Long Islands made him out to be.

In attempt to avoid the awkward morning-after conversation, you make a run for it.

But because nothing ever goes as planned, his roommates are already awake and in the living room.

You finally make it home, only to be greeted with laughter from your roommates because they know what you did last night.

And for a second, after reflecting on your recent life choices, you contemplate swearing off alcohol for good.

But then you realize that drunken sex was the best workout you’ve had all week.
