Mother’s Day Gift Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mizzou chapter.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and… you have no idea what to get her! Finding something new to get your mom every year can be a struggle, especially if the woman already has it all. Here are some creative ideas and some classic items that any mother will be sure to enjoy, all under $100!

1. Accessories for her phone. The perfect gift for the working Mom is a rechargeable phone case so her iPhone never dies. This one by Mophie has a sleek design and it isn’t bulky, so it will fit in her purse easily. It comes in a variety of colors and ships in 1-2 business days, all for only $80.

2. Yoga shoes and a yoga class. These sandals by Sanuk are made from yoga mat material so your mom’s feet will always feel comfortable. They are also inexpensive enough (only $30), so you can throw in a yoga class for the both of you to take together! Sumits is offering hot yoga for $25, unlimited classes for the first two weeks, or you can get sign up for one session with mom for only $15. Sounds like the perfect way to de-stress!

3. A decadent dessert. If mom is coming to visit you in CoMo this weekend or you live nearby, try getting her something sweet to eat. Peggy Jean’s Pies is offering 10% off your order if you call in and place your order before noon on Friday, May 9. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, and the secret recipe they use will have your mom wanting the whole thing for herself (so it’s best to buy two, right?).

4. A new tote. Since summer is almost here, you could get your mom a new tote bag to carry with her on your upcoming family vacation. J. Crew has some classy styles like this one for only $68.

5. Personalized items. Nothing says you love your mom like putting a little thought into whatever present you give her. If you’re crafty, you can hit up the Pinterest pages and look at doodling something cute on a coffee mug, painting a set of wooden spoons for the kitchen, or making your mom a cute scarf to wear. The possibilities are endless.
