A Few of Nature’s Most Scenic Places in the World

Everyone loves traveling to new places and exploring the world. But sometimes we can forget about the beauty that nature alone brings to all of us across the globe. In every part of the world, maybe even your own backyard, there is a beauty within that can often be taken for granted. Here are just a handful of many gorgeous scenes that the world has to offer.

The Waterfall

Victoria Falls is located in Southern Africa along the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. The raging waterfall is on the Zambezi River and was known to be called “The Smoke that Thunders.”

The Mountain

The Matterhorn Mountain, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy, is 14,692 ft high. It is sometimes referred to as the “Mountain of Mountains” and is well known in the Alps.

The River

Cano Cristales is a unique river located in Columbia in the province of Meta. It is sometimes referred to as the “Liquid Rainbow” or “River of Five Colors” because of the vibrant colors within. 

The Beach

Anse Source d’Argent is on the island of La Digue which is part of the Republic of Seychelles. This island getaway with white sand and clear blue water is sure to take anyone’s breath away.

The Volcano

Mount Fuji is not only an active stratovolcano, but also the highest mountain in Japan. It can be seen from Tokyo and is known as one of Japan’s “Three Holy Mountains.”

The Blue Grotto on the island of Capri in Italy has a beautiful blue reflection from the sunlight passing through an underwater cavity.

The Lake

Lake Tahoe is on the state line between California and Nevada in the U.S. This gorgeous lake is known for its beaches and ski resorts.

The Forest

This tree tunnel can be found in West Sussex, England. The path leads to Halnaker Mill and seems like something you’d find in a fairy tale.
