Meet this week’s campus cutie, Caleb Eissler! He’s a junior architecture major and has been enjoying Mizzou traditions since fifth grade. He takes pride in his hometown of Kansas City, MO and is a sucker for Disney movies. Read on to see what else you might have in common with this cutie! Oh, and did I mention he’s single?
Full name: Caleb Robert Eissler
Year at Mizzou: junior
Hometown: Kansas City, MO (I’m offended when people ask if I’m from Kansas.)
Major: Architecture (Call me Ted Mosby.)
Campus involvement: Veritas, Chancellor’s Leadership Mentor Program
Relationship status: Single
Favorite Mizzou memory: Rushing the field for the Texas A&M game with my best friends last year. My other would be playing catch on the Quad with my dad, as a kid, after eating at Shakespeare’s on game day.
Most embarrassing moment: In fifth grade I was playing football with my friends in a completely empty and open backyard (minus a single bird feeder on a pole). I ran straight into the bird feeder while playing and knocked myself out cold (much to the delight of my friends).
First item on his bucket list: Travel to England and New Zealand
Celebrity crush: Celine Dion
Favorite thing about humanity: My favorite thing about humanity is that humanity’s best stories come when broken people in adverse situations don’t give up. When they persevere, powerful things happen.
Favorite fictional character: “Hes not a hero. He is a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight.“
Ideal date: Being from KC, a walk on the Plaza at Christmas time under the Plaza lights and snow has to be a go-to option.
Turn ons: If she’s a movie lover, confident, compassionate and she’s not too cool for Disney movies.
Turn offs: Being too cool for Disney Movies
One thing you wish to accomplish this year: Spreading the Gospel in a powerful way on campus.
Where you see yourself 10 years from now: After I finish up here at Mizzou, I’m heading to seminary. In 10 years I hope to see myself pastoring a church and loving every minute of life with a wife and kids.
