Heather Bruno is senior art major from Mohnton, Pa. Unlike most people her age, Heather decided to turn one of her hobbies into a career. In tenth grade, she started her own business called Heather Bruno Photography. Heather decided to start her own business because of all the side jobs she was asked to do. She thought, why not make it something and see where it leads? Obviously, she made the right the decision, because she has recieved a lot of work from it. Heather mainly does portraiture photography. This consists of any senior pictures, family portraits, and any other type of potraits really. She has taken pictures of infants, children, adults, and has even done some weddings. Heather’s favorite thing to photograph is anything involving people. “I love to see their natural side as well as just interact with them. I also love family shoots because I get to give them something they can treasure forever,” she said.
Besides Heather’s photography business, she is also involved in Expressions Dance at Millersville, where she is the company captain. Dance has given her a chance to photograph different things, whether it be recitals or just dance photography in general. This helps her see the more artistic side of pictures. In the future, Heather sees herself continuing her business and becoming more professional down the road. However, after graduation, her plan is to try to pursue a dancing career at Disney World first. Once she does that, then she will come back to photography.
