Do you have a job? Yes, I have my own business which is Amber’s Amazing Animal Balloons.
How did you get started making balloons? It was a hobby and I learned how to make the shapes by memory, so my parents helped me start a business.
How long have you had it for? 11 years
What kind of things do you make? I make a variety of animals, hats, swords, bracelets, and flowers
What is the most requested item? A penguin
What’s your favorite thing about making balloons? Seeing the joy on people’s faces.
Favorite one to make? A mouse because its so its so tiny and cute.
Does anyone else in your family make balloons? Yes, my mom. Sometimes we teach each other different shapes.
What events to you attend? Birthday parties, private events, campus events, community events, and I make decorations as well.
Biggest event you attend? First Night Pittsburgh for four years
Do you see yourself continuing with it after college? Yes, I want to expand it by adding additional services and hiring people to work with me.
What is one of your goals for your balloon business? To get my balloons in a movie, preferably a Tyler Perry movie. Also, I would love to be on Ellen or Steve Harvey’s show.
