Break out your blanket scarves and ankle booties, collegiettes, because today is the first official day of fall — which is arguably the best season of all.
If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to go on hayrides, enjoy cozy bonfires with your closest friends, and hear the leaves crunching beneath your feet as you walk across campus. Can you relate? Here are some more signs that you’re ready for fall (and have been for months):
1. You’ve already started wearing fall clothes
So what if temperatures have been rising past 80 degrees this past week? Your desire to look comfy and cute outweighs the fact that it’s sweater weather in the morning and heat stroke weather in the afternoon. #noregrets.
2. You started drinking PSLs the day they became available
I wasn’t even sorry when I ordered a pumpkin iced coffee from Dunkin on August 29th, and you shouldn’t be either. Every day is a #PSL day if you try hard enough.
3. You’ve already burned through half of your fall candle supply
…And you’re too broke from buying PSLs to restock, so you try to save your candles for when you really need some aroma therapy. (Spoiler alert: that doesn’t work.)
4. You’ve secretly been watching “Halloween” movies since June
There’s no harm in marathoning Tim Burton movies during the summertime. Or year-round. This is a no-judgment zone, ladies.
5. You’ve already switched up the decor in your dorm/bedroom/apartment
Fall wreath? Check. Pumpkins? Check. Fall-themed throw pillows? Check. Regrets? Absolutely not.
If you weren’t ready for fall before, I bet you are now! So go out there and enjoy the season while you can, collegiettes — it only comes once a year!
