Liz Funk & Marian Jordan Ellis: Two Super Ladies Speaking at Miami

On Wednesday, October 22, Liz Funk and Marian Jordan will be coming to campus to speak about how women can get ahead and live the life they’ve always wanted. Both of them, authors, give a giant high-five to girl power. The events are open to anyone interested in attending and are completely free. Her Campus will be at both. We hope to see you there!

Supergirls Speak Out: Liz FunkTime: 7:30 p.m.Where: FSB 0025 Liz Funk has been a guest speaker at almost 100 colleges in 35 states and according to her, she has an, “important message for high-achieving college women who have big goals and overbooked schedules.” Sound like you? Funk believes in slowing down and making time for oneself in order to produce the best work. Her speech stems from her book “Supergirls Speak Out” – a non-fiction novel on how today’s women are more ambitious than ever. She has appeared in ELLE magazine, The Washington Post and on The TODAY Show to name a few, and now she’ll be taking the floor at Miami University.

Girls’ Night Out with Marian Jordan EllisTime: 8:30 p.m.Where: Armstrong Student Center Pavilion Marian Jordan Ellis is an author and the founder of Redeemed Girl Ministries. Her books include “Sex and The Single Christian Girl,” “The List” and “Sex and the City: Uncovered.” Jordan previously resided in New York City and found herself living the “dream life”. She was making a lot of money, going out, dating and receiving a lot of attention from boys. But then she realized that this life is not the one she wanted. Come see what Jordan has to say and learn how her faith changed her.
