Bye-bye To Boring Montreal Winters: 5 Things To Do This Month

Back to school season just ended, things are getting real; you are a bit behind on your readings, you are slipping on ice daily, and you are being too lazy to workout. Leaving this negative image behind, a lot is going on in Montreal these days. If you want to get away from your cozy crib here’s what you can do this month:

1- See Michelle Obama give a speech at Palais des congrès de Montréal:

 The ex first-lady of United States Michelle Obama led four major movements: “Let’s Move!”, in order to put the emphasis childhood obesity; “Joining Forces”, to support veterans, service members, and their families; “Reach Higher”, to motivate young people to pursue higher education; and “Let Girls Learn”, to support adolescent girls around the world go to school.

Her speech is part of the speaker series of Bell Canada International Leaders’ event.

2- Experience electronic music outdoors: Go to Igloofest for its last weekend.

It may be cold, but dancing will warm you up! Put on your warmest layers, zip your winter coat, and be prepared to dance all night long at Quai Jacques Cartier. The last weekend of Igloofest is this weekend (1st, 2nd and 3rd of February) so catch a DJ before Igloofest leaves until winter 2019.

Lineup includes: DJ Esco, Boi-1da, Nate Husser DJ set, VNCE Carter, Sasha and John Digweed, Tone Depth, Pulses.
