How to Survive Snowstorm Jonas as told by Frozen

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Maryland chapter.

As we dig ourselves out from under almost 3 feet of snow, and celebrate having a few days off of school, we may begin to wonder how we’re going to get through the aftermath of the blizzard Jonas.

Here are some suggestions for ways to enjoy yourself during—or just make it through—the next few days.

  1. Build a Snowman

Gather up your friends, don your snow boots and head outside. Even your most reluctant friends can’t say no to building a snowman. Of course, it doesn’t have to be a snowman. You could have a snowball fight on the mall or find the perfect sledding hill too.

  1. Warm Hugs

You don’t have to spend all day hugging per-se, but grab some warm blankets and a movie and snuggle up away from the cold. No one’s going anywhere until the roads are in better shape, so curl up with roommates or family and enjoy the time together.

  1. Stuff your face

Hopefully you stocked up before the snow piled up. Most places still aren’t delivering, and you can’t live off Poptarts and cereal forever. Make some hot chocolate to warm things up, or try a new recipe for a home cooked meal if you have a kitchen. Food therapy is the best therapy.

  1. Daydream of Summer

Plan a road trip with your best friends or reminisce about last years beach trip. Look through old pictures or stalk travel accounts on Instagram. Find a fantasy you can get lost in and you’ll forget that Jonas ever happened.

  1. Own It

The best way to survive the next few days is just to own it. Don’t let the cold weather and massive snowdrifts get you down.  Besides, the cold never bothered you anyways.
