Sarah: He’s intelligent, easygoing and slightly feminine.

What was your first impression of each other?
Romulus: Well, when I first met her she had a track outfit on so she was all sweaty from running. So I thought she was very sporty.
Sarah: Which actually was not the case at all because I was in track and I quit right after. No, I was meeting one of his friends actually and…I thought he was pretty quiet because the friend that I was meeting was more talkative.
What is your ideal couples costume?
Romulus: [This year] we went as Mario and Luigi.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Sarah: I’ve never had one…Back in the seventh grade everyone was always talking about the hottest boys in the movies and stuff and I just didn’t care. I could never really get with them.
Romulus: I have one. Mila Kunis.
What is the best gift you have ever given each other?
Sarah: He got me this necklace with a small gold chain and an infinity symbol connected to it and it has our two initials.
Romulus: I think it was for my birthday. She gave me birthday coupons, and they were homemade and funny.
Describe your most memorable date.
Romulus: We went to King’s Dominion over the summer, she hates rollercoasters so I forced her to go. And she freaked out, but it was fun.
Sarah: Memorable.
What is your biggest pet peeve of each other?
Sarah: He asks me questions that he already knows the answers to, just so he can get me to say them. Like, I’ll want to hold his hand and go to hold his hand and he’ll say “Hey, why do you want to hold my hand?” and I’m like, “Why do you want to know why?”
Romulus: She notices everything about me. She just notices everything and then tells me.
What is it like sharing a couples Instagram?
Romulus: Well that’s a funny story actually. She has a Windows phone and so she didn’t have an official Instagram. There’s a third-party app that has an Instagram…and I had my own account.
Sarah: Then my Instagram got deleted because they found out it was a third-party, and then he was nice enough to share his. But then, that got his Instagram deleted, so we just made a new one. We share the same space. I don’t think there’s anything we don’t share besides body wash and hygiene stuff.
Who said, “I love you” first?
Romulus: I kind of said it prematurely. I kind of said it just to say it.
Sarah: It was like a week in.
Romulus: Yeah, it was like a week after I asked her out. I was kind of crazy. And then she said, ‘Do you really mean it?’ and I was like, ‘No. I don’t know why I said that.”
What do you love the most about each other?
Sarah: I am a needy person and he’s always there. I feel like a lot of people would get turned away by my neediness, but he’s always been there.
Romulus: I love that she always makes me laugh even though she doesn’t try to. I think that’s a good thing. She’s very loyal and she always puts me first, in front of anybody else. Even her best friends…sometimes.
