Campus Celeb: Adam Nash

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marquette chapter.

It seems like everyone at Marquette knows Adam Nash. This guy is the king of record collections and a history savant. Not only that, but he’s incredible in his chosen field, advertising. He traveled to London and Prague last summer on an advertising study abroad trip, and then continued on to explore Europe. He has stories for days. Nash is from Minneapolis, Minnesota and a senior in Delta Chi. Get to know him if you don’t already.

HCMU: What made you choose Marquette?

AN: I was looking for a mid-sized school with a good academic reputation in a city and Marquette fit the description. Milwaukee is also a great town with tons of cool stuff going on like Summerfest, brewery tours and great restaurants.

HCMU: On a Thursday night, I could find you…

AN: Murphy’s, Caffrey’s, or the Water Street area, but it really depends on the Thursday. They are all quite different.

HCMU: What is the most memorable thing that you’ve done as a Marquette student?

AN: It’s a difficult question because I have many great memories throughout my time here. I would say the most memorable thing I’ve done was probably travel through Europe with a small group of Marquette students on the Global Brand Tracking program. We spent a lot of time in London and Prague, and it was really fun going out and exploring the clubs, bars, and other nightlife in those cities.

HCMU: What’s your favorite Milwaukee restaurant and/or bar?

AN: Milwaukee is full of awesome restaurants and bars. My personal favorites are the Smoke Shack, Alehouse, and Benelux in the Third Ward.

HCMU: What advice would you give to freshmen?

AN: Stop yelling so loud outside my house late at night. Also read books, drink nice whisky, and listen to rock and roll.

HCMU: What’s your dream job?

AN: My dream job would be running my own international advertising firm as well as continuing my family’s picture framing business.

HCMU: What is something that people would not be able to guess about you?

AN: Me and some of my friends play music at Conway’s and some other small bars around Milwaukee for fun.

HCMU: Do you have a life motto? If so, what is it?

AN: Learn from your mistakes and take time to enjoy the world and people around you instead of worrying about less important things.

Cheers and na zdraví, Nash!
