Nottingham Student City Guide
Something students quickly discover in Nottingham is the vast array of food options there are amongst other things to do when you should be studying! Here are a few of our favourites from Her Campus Nottingham…
The Pudding Pantry
A firm favourite for all Nottingham foodies is this beautiful dessert cafe. With a menu that includes a full breakfast, pancakes, avocado toast and cheesecake brownies, it’s pretty much any student’s dream!
Trying one of their over their loaded hot chocolates or freakshakes is definitely a must do during your time at UoN.
Wollaton Park
This is somewhere students always take visitors, not only for it’s beautiful scenery but for Wollaton Hall which was a filming location for The Dark Knight Rises. Even if you’ve never seen the movie, Nottingham students always feel proud to share that fact!
Annie’s Burger Shack
This Nottingham restaurant is run by Rhode Island natives who bring the full delicious flavours of the USA to the East Midlands – as well as their portion sizes! These are matched by a huge menu that includes decadent burger offerings such as Sloppy Joe and even The Elvis which is smothered in PB&J! They offer all their burgers as vegan, veggie or meaty as well so everyone is catered for.
Ocean Fridays
It’s an essential part of being a UoN student as you head on down to Ocean after a long week of lectures to dance the night away to some throwbacks, pop classics and general cheesy tunes.
Doughnotts
This store serves freshly baked donuts with a menu that changes daily. Past delights include Jammy Dodger, Kinder Bueno Smash and Boston Creme. They also have vegan options available so are suitable for every student to break their diet with!
