Celebrity Style Blog: The Five Hottest Celeb Halloween Costumes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

So, that time of year has been and gone again. The time when celebrities can go Gaga and dress as wacky and wonderful as they want and not be criticized for it. Judging by some of the fab looks from last Friday, this year was no exception.  Some of my personal favourites were Katy Perry’s hilarious Cheetos costume, as well as Queen B and Blue Ivy’s cute Janet and Michael Jackson ensemble. Well, if we had millions of pounds to spare on top of our student loan I’m sure there would be far less cat costumes in Leeds.

Here are my top five picks of celebrities from this year’s Halloween:

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama definitely won cutest couple award, as Lucy and Ricky from the 1950s sitcom ‘I love Lucy.’ Demi worked the glamorous pin up girl look, dressed in a white and black polka dot puffy midi dress, accessorised with pearls and white pointy-toed heels, and of course a red lip and short hair to complete the look.

Iggy Azalea (left) definitely gave the fright factor with how alike she looked to Marlon Waylon in the infamous film White Chicks. Allegedly, this was her comeback at Snoop Dogg’s insults over her pale complexion. Hilarious! Iggy- 1, Snoop- 0.  She even posted a music video on Instagram of her dancing to ‘A Thousand Miles’, the main song in the film.

Queen B looked amazing as usual teamed with little Blue Ivy as Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson. Dressed head to toe in black with leather gloves and key- hooped earrings as well as a black snapback, Bey recreated Janet’s iconic look with a modern twist. And how cute did Blue Ivy look as MJ?

Hollyoaks star Gemma Merna got the memo; Halloween is the one time of year every girl can dress up as a total slut and no one can say anything about it. Gemma worked the classic queen of hearts costume with a corset dress, monochrome socks, red cape, and a bloody heart drawn across her chest. We have to say, she suits the block bob. Off with the blonde!

Rihanna was definitely the most fashionable teenage mutant ninja turtle I’ve ever seen! Though, she’s not one to stay in her shell when it comes to style. Her knee- high gladiator sandal boots and green claw-style gloves definitely made the look.

We hope you had an amazing Halloween and now have some outfit inspiration for next year!
