Mortifying Moments and Scandalous Secrets- Gas Station Surprise

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Le Moyne chapter.

In the beginning of the semester, I had to stop for gas to get to my job. I stopped at the local gas station down the road from my dorm. I pumped in $10.00 worth of gas, because I worked fairly close and would put more in later after I cashed my check. When I went inside to pay, there was a bit of a line, so I waited. As I got closer to the counter, I could feel a breeze on my legs. When I finally got to the counter, to be nice I said, “Hi, how are you today?” The man behind the counter looked mortified, so I said, “Are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” He replied, “I guess I have. You’re doing a Marilyn Monroe.” I turned around in circles trying to figure out what he was talking about, as he watched me make an absolute fool of myself. Behind me was a man standing by a Pepsi fridge and a fan. It was then that I realized not only was my dress being blown up from  behind by the fan, but also that today I’d worn pantyhose with a black thong underneath. The guy behind me was signaling to the man at the counter about what he was seeing. How mortifying…I still can’t bring myself to go to that gas station.
