Alyssa Lefebvre: Brendan Kavanaugh:

Just by looking at the two, you can see they are head over heels for each other; the entire time they remained close, had their arms wrapped around one another, or just a simple hand on the lap. I could tell that their relationship is very natural and easy, which is what made me choose to use them as campus cuties!
First things first, when and how did you meet?
Alyssa: “September of 2011, the first weekend of school actually, and we met through Brendan’s roommate’s girlfriend. We would all hang out together and it just went from there.”
Was it love at first sight?
Alyssa: “I mean-no offense-I didn’t really know him, and I don’t really believe in love at first sight but I definitely wanted to get to know him.”
Brendan: “Yeah, I mean it was kind of a set up but yeah she caught my interest.”
So, we’ll say it was a spark at first sight?
Brendan: “Yeah, exactly.”
How did you make it official?
Brendan: “I asked her…we put it on Facebook eventually right?”
Alyssa: “OK you don’t remember, it was before class and he woke me up and said ‘I want you to be my girlfriend’ and I said ‘okay’ … so basically, yeah he did just ask.”
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
Brendan: “Her eyes, and her smile.”
Alyssa: “I would say my favorite thing about Brendan, um… I don’t know I like everything about Brendan I guess. There’s not one thing I can say I like the most about him…that’s appropriate for this interview.”
What’s your favorite thing about your relationship?
Alyssa: “It’s not like I’m only hanging out with my boyfriend but also my best friend, were just really close and have a good time with whatever we’re doing.”
Brendan: “True. We get along with each other’s families and friends too.”
Is there anything annoying about the other that you let go because you’re so in love? Don’t hold back! There’s got to be something!
Alyssa: “I would say that he takes a really long time to get ready, and move out the door and that really frustrates me sometimes, especially when we have to be somewhere and he’s just taking his sweet time.”
Brendan: “Just that she’s always nagging me to hurry up!”
You’re lucky enough to live so close to each other at home as well. What’s it like when you guys are home? Are there any differences from when you are together at school?
Alyssa: “Yeah it is different, they are both good in different ways. At home, we don’t have to worry about friends and balancing time between him and my friends. It’s also different because we hang out with each other’s friends, which is fun, so it’s like a new scene I guess. But on the other hand, we don’t have freedom; we have to be at our parent’s houses which can be annoying.”
Brendan: “Yeah we have to abide by our parent’s rules and respect their homes, stuff like that.”
Which do you like better?
Alyssa: “Well its funny because whenever we’re home we want to be back at school, and when we’re at school we want to be back at home. I think overall, I guess being here because we see each other every day as apposed to a few times a week at home.”
Brendan: “Yeah I guess I would agree.”
So, you guys have been together for a little over a year, have you seen any differences in your relationship from sophomore year to this year?
Alyssa: “I guess just being more comfortable with each other cause we know each other better.”
Brendan: “Yeah that’s a good way to put it.”
What’s the best date you guys have gone on? Or what is your favorite experience you have had with each other?
Alyssa: “For me, I would have to say both Valentine Days. We went to the zoo last year and go carting this year. Ugh, but the weddings we went to were so fun.”
Brendan: “Yeah the weddings were dope. The time we went skiing, and we went to Raquette Lake.”
Alyssa: “I don’t think we can really pinpoint one specific time cause they are all different.”

Alyssa: “Being honest, trusting each other.”
Brendan: “Use your words. Try not to go a day without seeing each other.”
