You have probably seen this power couple walking around campus or eating at the dinning hall together. Shannon Murphy and Dustin Da Ponte have been dating for ten months. These two lived in the same dorm freshman year and were in the same FYS class. “We had to do many projects together and just kinda of clicked.”
When asked about what they like most each other, Shannon said that she loves it when he sings, Dustin’s loves how Shannon is so caring and really cares about his family. The most romantic memory of this couple is when they went down to Newport Rhode Island, and spent the day together driving around and doing fun activities.
But while the power couple spends plenty of time together, they also manage to lead separate lives, both very involved on campus. Shannon is a member of Circle K and Campus Activities Board. Dustin is an R.A, Orientation Coordinator, and is part of Student Government Association (SGA). They are both Peer Mentors and were both Orientation Leaders last year.
Not only is this couple cute but they’re also on their way to the top!
