5 Female YouTubers You Should Be Watching

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Ever find yourself on a full out YouTube binge and end up watching ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ for the 800th time? It’s okay, I do that too. Next time that that happens, try watching one of these amazing YouTubers instead.

  1. Bethany Mota

Bethany Mota has been around for what seems like forever, but the way she is setting herself apart from the rest of the crowd is in what she does off the screen. Mota has done amazing things that should inspire any girl, such as competing on Dancing with The Stars, creating her own clothing line in partnership with Aeropostale, and even interviewing Former President Obama.

2. Katy Bellotte

Known as Hellokatyxo, Bellotte is a true inspiration to young women, especially college girls. She makes videos giving advice and talks about hard topics, like the belief that you aren’t pretty enough, or that you will never find love. She is like the best friend we all wish we had.

3. Megan and Liz

Megan and Liz Mace are the definition of a dynamic duo. These twins created a successful music and fashion career, but they have also been on Oprah and created a music video to help spread anti-bullying awareness.

4. Laci Green

Laci Green is basically a feminist superhero. On her channel, she discusses many of the topics that often many people are too scared to talk about, including relationships, gender issues, and what it’s really like being a girl in today’s society.

5. Engage by Uplift

This last one isn’t necessarily all female, but is important for females. Engage by Uplift discusses issues on sexual assault and sexual violence; it’s a no-fluff discussion channel that gives support to those who need it.
