April Fools’ Day is the day to play practical jokes on people. It is the day of people being infuriated, and wanting to punch you in the face. There are many pranks that have been/can be played, but I’d like to share the possible origin of April Fools’ before I share the laughter.

It goes back to 1582, when Pope Gregory XIII announced the Gregorian calendar, which moved New Year’s Day from the end of March to January 1st. The message of the use of the Gregorian calendar was spread, and others started using it. Those who continued to celebrate New Year’s on April 1st through using the old calendar were considered “foolish”, hence April Fools. If you are interested, there are other possible origins of April Fools’ that can be found here.

In her free time she likes to people watch at Starbucks (or really, anywhere), snack/eat until she is guiltily full, and hang out with the ones she loves.
